Store details and contact info

Set your store name, tagline, support email and phone, opening hours and address, and see exactly where each one shows up for your customers.

Your store details tell customers who you are and how to reach you. They show on your storefront, on your Contact page and in the emails customers get, so fill them in before you start selling.

Before you start

  • You need to be the owner or an admin of the business to change these.
  • Use a support email and phone number that someone actually checks. Customers' messages and replies to order emails go there.

Update your store details

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then Store details. (Or open the menu under your name and choose Store settings, which opens the same page.)
  2. Fill in the sections below.
  3. Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom. It shows how many unsaved changes you have, and Saved once it's done. Click Discard to undo your edits.

Profile

  • Store name: shown in your storefront's header and footer, and in your customers' emails.
  • Tagline: a short line that sums up your store. It's used on your storefront's home and About pages, and when your shop appears in search results or is shared. If you've set a tagline under Settings → Brand, that one is used instead.

Customer support

  • Support email: for example help@yourstore.com.
  • Support phone: a South African number like 082 000 0000 or +27 82 000 0000.

Opening hours

For each day, click Open and set the opening and closing times. Click Add for a second time slot on the same day, for example if you close over lunch. Days with no times show as Closed. Use Monday’s hours Mon–Fri copies Monday to the rest of the week. Use Anything else? for notes like "Closed public holidays".

Store address

Start typing in Street address and pick your address from the suggestions. ShopEazy fills in Suburb, City, Province / state, Postal code and Country for you. You can also type them in yourself.

This address is used for receipts and returns, and as the default place couriers collect from.

Where customers see your details

  • Every storefront page: the footer shows your store name, support email and phone.
  • Contact page: once you've added a support email, phone number or city, a Contact link appears in your storefront's menu. The page lists your Email and Phone (customers can tap to email or call), your address under Find us, and your Opening hours.
  • Contact form: the Send us a message form on your Contact page emails the message to your support email. If the customer gave their email address, just hit reply to answer them.
  • Home page: if your storefront design includes a contact section, it shows your support email, phone and address.
  • Your pages: the Visit us block on pages you build under Storefront → Pages shows your address and opening hours, with a map. Change them here and the block updates. See Build your About page and other pages.
  • Order emails: order confirmation emails show your support email and phone. When a customer replies, the reply goes to your support email.
  • Customer account emails: the sign-in codes customers get for their account on your shop include "Need help? Email" with your support email.
  • WhatsApp: if you sell on WhatsApp, the shopping assistant can tell customers your opening hours.
  • Policy pages: your standard policies include your contact email, phone and address (see below).

Update your policy pages

Your four policy pages (terms, privacy, refunds and delivery) were written when your store was created. If you hadn't added contact details yet, they contain placeholders like "[add your support email]", "[add your support phone]" and "[add your business address]". They don't update by themselves when you change your details.

To refresh them:

  1. Go to Settings → Legal and click Edit next to Your shop's policies.
  2. On each tab, click Reset to template. The template fills in your current details.
  3. Click Save changes.
Reset to template replaces everything on that page, including any wording you changed yourself. If you've edited a policy, update the contact details by hand instead.

Store details vs business details

Your store details are what customers see. Your Business details (menu under your name → Business → Business details) hold your registered name, registration number, VAT number, business email, phone and registered address. Those describe your organisation rather than your shop.

Policy templates use your business details as a fallback: if a store has no support email, phone or address, the policy uses the business ones instead. Your registered business name and registration number appear in your policies too.

Check that it worked

  • On Settings → Store details, click View storefront. Scroll to the footer and check your email and phone.
  • Open the Contact page on your storefront and check the details, address and hours.
  • Send yourself a message using the contact form and check it arrives in your support inbox.

If something goes wrong

"Give the store a name." The Store name box can't be empty.

"That support email isn’t valid." Check the address for typos or spaces.

"That support phone number isn’t valid. Use a number like 082 000 0000." Enter a full South African number, with or without +27.

There's no Contact link on my storefront. Add a support email, a support phone or at least a city, and save.

Customers say the contact form doesn't work. The form needs a support email. Without one, customers see "This store hasn’t set a contact email yet."

My policy pages still show "[add your support email]". Policies don't update on their own. Follow the steps under Update your policy pages above.

I can't save the page. You need to be the owner or an admin. Staff members can't change store details.
