Connect Peach Payments to your shop

Take payments through your own Peach Payments account on your ShopEazy shop and at your till. Where to find your keys, what to paste, and what the errors mean.

schedule4 min read

Connect Peach Payments and shoppers can pay by card, Capitec Pay and the other methods you switch on in Peach, on your shop and by Scan to pay at your till.

ShopEazy never holds your money. Shoppers pay Peach Payments, and Peach Payments pays you out on the terms you have with them. You pay Peach Payments's fees on your own account, and ShopEazy's platform fee per online sale depends on your plan.

Before you start

  • A Peach Payments account. Four values from the live Peach dashboard. Sandbox keys won't work on your shop.
  • Owner or admin access to your ShopEazy business. Other team members can't connect or remove a payment provider.
  • Your email inbox. Connecting a provider asks you to confirm it's you with a 6-digit code we email you.

What your shoppers can pay with: Cards, Capitec Pay and the other methods you've switched on in Peach.

Connect Peach Payments

  1. In ShopEazy, click Settings in the sidebar, then Payments. You can also press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) and search for "Payments".
  2. Under Ways to pay, find Card via Peach Payments and click Connect. Already have a provider connected? Click Add next to Add a way to pay and pick Peach Payments.
  3. Follow the steps in the drawer, below.
  4. Click Connect Peach Payments and enter the code we email you.

Step 1: Open Checkout in Peach

  1. Sign in to the live Peach dashboard and open Checkout. The connect drawer's Open Peach Payments button takes you there.
  2. Copy the Entity ID from Hosted Checkout. The Payments API has its own Entity ID, and that one won't work.
  3. Copy the Client ID, Merchant ID and Client secret from Embedded Checkout.

Step 2: Paste them here

  • Entity ID
  • Client ID
  • Merchant ID
  • Client secret

Step 3: Allow your store in Peach

Peach only takes payments from web addresses you've allowed. The connect drawer shows your shop's addresses with a copy button next to each. Add them in Peach under Allowlisted domains. Peach approves new domains by hand, so allow some time before your first sale.

When it works, Peach Payments shows under Ways to pay with an On badge, and your shop starts taking payments through it.

Check that it worked

ShopEazy can't check Peach keys when you connect, so place a small real order straight after connecting to make sure it goes through.

Click Manage next to Peach Payments on the Payments page to see Live at checkout, your Payments · 30 days and Recent payments.

If something goes wrong

"Could not connect Peach." Check all four values came from the live dashboard, and that the Entity ID is the Hosted Checkout one.

Payments fail after connecting Peach hasn't allowed your shop's address yet. Check Allowlisted domains in Peach.

Peach Payments shows "Not in use" Your shop charges through one card provider at a time. If another provider was connected first, checkout keeps using it. Disconnect that one to switch to Peach Payments.

For problems shoppers see at checkout, see Fix payment provider and checkout problems.

Good to know

Your secret keys are encrypted when you save them, and ShopEazy never shows them again.

To disconnect, open Peach Payments from Settings → Payments and click Disconnect. We ask you to confirm, then forget your keys. If Peach Payments was the one at checkout and another provider is connected, checkout switches to it. Otherwise shoppers can't pay by card until you connect one again, so connect the new one first if you're switching.
