Send an email to your customers

Write one email and send it to a group of your customers who agreed to hear from you, straight from ShopEazy. Part of Marketing Plus.

schedule4 min read

You can email a group of your customers straight from ShopEazy, for example everyone who bought once and hasn't been back. The email goes out as soon as you confirm. You can't schedule one for later.

Before you start

  • Growth or Scale. Starter can't send emails. See Build an audience from your customers for how to upgrade.
  • An active subscription. Sending stops working if your plan has lapsed.
  • Customers who agreed to marketing. Emails only go to people who ticked the box to hear from you and have an email address. Everyone else is left out, whatever you choose.
  • A support email on your store (optional, but recommended). Replies to your campaign go there. Set it under Settings → Store details → Support email.

Send an email

  1. Click Grow → Marketing in the sidebar.
  2. Under Campaigns, click Send an email.
  3. Under Who gets it, choose an audience, such as Bought once or Repeat buyers. Below it you'll see how many people will actually get the email, for example "42 people — opted in, with an email".
  4. Type a Subject.
  5. Type your Message. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. Your shop name, a link back to your shop and an unsubscribe line are added for you.
  6. Click Send me a test. A copy goes to the email address you sign in to ShopEazy with. Check it looks right.
  7. Click Send to (the button shows the number of people, for example Send to 42).
  8. Check the preview in the Send this now? box, then click Send to 42 again to confirm.

When it's done, a message tells you how many people it was sent to, and how many failed if any did. Once sent, an email can't be taken back.

What your customers get

  • The email comes from your shop's name, sent from a ShopEazy address (shop@notifications.shopeazy.co).
  • If they reply, the reply goes to your store's Support email.
  • The email shows your shop name, your subject and message, and a Visit the shop link. It uses your brand colour if you've set one under Settings → Brand.
  • Every email has its own unsubscribe link. If a customer uses it, they're taken off your marketing list and won't get future campaigns.

ShopEazy checks the list again at the moment you send. Anyone who unsubscribed since you opened the page is left out automatically.

See what you've sent

The Already sent list, next to the form, shows your recent campaigns: the subject, the date and time, the audience, and how many emails were sent or failed. Check it before sending, so you don't email the same people twice.

Need help writing it?

Under Campaigns, the Email campaign tool writes subject lines and an email for you from a short description of what it's about. It uses AI credits. Copy what you like into Send an email.

If something goes wrong

"Nobody here agreed to marketing and has an email address." No one in that audience can be emailed. Pick a different audience. Customers are only included once they've agreed to marketing. See Build an audience from your customers for how that works.

The Send button is greyed out. You need a subject, a message, and at least one person in the audience.

Send me a test is greyed out. Add a subject and a message first.

The tool shows a lock and "Comes with Growth". Your plan doesn't include email. Upgrade under Business → Plan & billing.

"Sent to 40 people · 2 failed" (with your numbers) Most emails went out, but some addresses didn't accept the email, usually because they're mistyped or no longer exist. Check those customers' email addresses in Customers.
