Control how your items look on Google and social media

Set the title, description and share image that appear when your products, services, events or tours show up on Google or get shared on WhatsApp and Facebook.

When your shop turns up on Google, or someone pastes a link to one of your items into WhatsApp, Facebook or X, a title, a short description and an image appear. ShopEazy fills these in for you. You can also write your own for any item.

You don't have to change anything. Every item gets sensible defaults. Write your own only when you want a particular item to stand out.

What ShopEazy shows by default

  • Title: the item's name, then your store name. For example, "Leather Tote · Sam's Leather".
  • Description: the item's own description. A product with no description gets its name, price and your store name instead.
  • Share image: a card made from the item's photo, its name and price, in your store's colours.

Write your own for an item

  1. Open the item you want to change. This works for products, services, events and tours.
  2. Scroll to SEO & social (on a tour it's called Search and sharing).
  3. Fill in the boxes you want to change (see below).
  4. Save the item.

The boxes are:

  • Meta title (on a tour, Page title): the headline on Google and in link previews.
  • Meta description (on a tour, Search description): the line shown under the title in search results.
  • Social share image: click Upload share image to use your own picture instead of the generated card.

Leave a box empty to go back to the default for it.

On a product, a preview under SEO & social shows what the link will look like when someone pastes it into WhatsApp.

Let AI draft it

Click Draft with AI (on a tour, Suggest) and ShopEazy writes a title, description and keywords from the item's name, description and tags. It uses 1 AI credit. Read it over and change anything that isn't right before you save. The item needs a name first.

About the Keywords box

You can add Keywords to an item, and AI fills them in too. ShopEazy doesn't currently add them to your shop's pages, so they don't change how your item appears on Google.

Tours don't have a share image upload

Tours use their generated card. The title and description settings work the same as for other items.

Your home page

Your shop's home page uses your store name as its title. Its description comes from your brand tagline:

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then Brand.
  2. Under Tagline, write one short line about your shop.
  3. Click Save brand.

If you haven't set a brand tagline, ShopEazy uses the Tagline under Settings → Store details. The home page share image is your logo or your storefront's hero image. Without either, ShopEazy builds a card from one of your item photos, or a plain branded card if you have no photos yet.

Your pages

Pages you build under Storefront → Pages, like your About page, have their own search and sharing settings. Open the page, click Settings, and fill in Search and sharing: a title, a description (up to 170 characters) and a share image. Leave them empty and ShopEazy uses the page title and the page's first words.

See Build your About page and other pages.

Check that it worked

  • Open the item on your storefront and share its link to yourself on WhatsApp. The preview should show your title, description and image.
  • WhatsApp, Facebook and Google keep copies of previews. If you shared a link before you changed it, the old preview can hang around for a while. A link you haven't shared yet shows the new one.

If something goes wrong

The preview still shows the old title or image. The app you shared it in is showing a saved copy. Give it time, or try sharing the link in a new chat.

Draft with AI or Suggest is greyed out. Give the item a name first. If it still won't work, check you have AI credits left. Open the menu under your name and choose AI credits.

My item isn't on Google at all. Your title and description only matter once Google has found the page. See Get your shop found on Google.
